Transfer Tapes & Transfer Adhesives

Rayven offers custom transfer tapes and transfer adhesives. These adhesives are coated on one (self-wound) or two release liners. Various liner and adhesive combinations are offered to meet specific customer requirements.

Rayven also manufactures release liners so they can tailor the liner to the specific application, providing a cost-effective custom solution. Transfer adhesives and tapes can be offered on film, paper, and poly-coated.

Some of the transfer adhesives that Rayven commonly works with include:

• Emulsion Acrylic – high tack, low tack, removable, high clarity, cold temperature
• Solvent Acrylic – high tack, low energy adhesion, high clarity, etc.
• Rubber – high tack aggressive bonds and difficult to bond substrates
• Hybrid Systems- for unique applications

The adhesives can be supplied unsupported (just the adhesive) or can be supported with an internal scrim of plastic film. Polyester and BOPP films are commonly used as scrim materials. Two different adhesives can be coated on each side of a scrim-reinforced adhesive or tape. Often known as differential transfer adhesives, these products are most often made with high tack adhesive on one side and a removable adhesive on the other side.

• Type 5000 – 2 Mil transfer – 2 mil high tack clear transfer adhesive for graphic arts mounting applications. Self wound on a 60-pound white poly-coated paper release liner. Available in 48 – master rolls or slit to width.
• Type 5015 – 4 Mil transfer – 4 mil high tack clear transfer adhesive for graphic arts mounting applications. Self wound on a 60-pound white poly-coated paper release liner. Available in 48 – master rolls or slit to width.
• Type 5005 – 2/1/2 Mil transfer – High tack clear transfer adhesive for graphic arts mounting applications featuring 2 mils of adhesive on each side of a 1 mil polyester scrim. Self wound on a 60-pound white poly-coated paper release liner. Available in 48 – master rolls or slit to width.
